"We built a mountain home in 2018 made of reclaimed old wood, and the wood floors were not finished with enough protectant. Within a few years, our new home’s floors went from looking rustic and distressed to downright damaged due to the wearing down of foot traffic and the scratching of dogs’ toenails. We decided to have our floors sanded and refinished, but we were nervous because we didn’t want to lose the characteristics of the old wood grain. We also felt daunted by the prospect of having to move all our furnishings out and leave our house for two weeks.

Thankfully we found Nick, who was recommended by our builder. He developed a process to sand and refinish the floors in a very meticulous way that preserved the wood’s natural characteristics and matched the color and look of the existing floor. He was very well organized and planned the job, including hiring movers, so that we could move out and be gone for two weeks on a vacation while he did the job on a tight timeline. He communicated with us throughout the process and finished the job a couple of days early, then moved everything back in place and cleaned, so that when we returned our house was clean and put back together. The floors look excellent and exactly as we hoped they would, with more protectant so they don’t wear down. We trusted Nick fully with our home and are very pleased with the results."
